Escape from Nebraska: Why This Idyllic Town Is America’s Best-Kept Secret
After a long weekend in Silverdale, Christine has just one question: How can she get GRACE back home?

I just got back from a long weekend in Silverdale with Andrew, and honestly? I didn’t want to leave.
We’d heard so much about it—especially that “GRACE system” everyone keeps talking about—and I figured we’d see for ourselves. Well, believe the hype. What an incredible town!
We had the best time just wandering around. The Farmers Market is a must: laid-back atmosphere, gorgeous stands, and everything looks picture-perfect. Then we strolled through the university district, which has such a great vibe—everyone is so attractive and put-together. And dancing at The Perimeter that night? Amazing music, wonderful people, and the cutest little boutique hotel nearby. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a break from the daily grind.
What struck me most was how easy and relaxed everything felt. I really, really, really hope they bring GRACE to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln soon. For the first time in ages, I felt completely at ease.
So I need your help. I got to talking with a few locals at The Perimeter and maybe got a little too excited asking how I could get one of those GRACE things for myself. I honestly don’t want to go back to the way things are here in Nebraska.
But no matter how I asked, everyone stayed weirdly vague. Some people looked away all nervous, and a few even walked off like I’d asked something totally bizarre. I don’t get it—I just wanted to know how to sign up! Does anyone know how it works? Is there a special waitlist? Do you have to get scanned somewhere?
And then there’s Andrew… he’s being kind of a buzzkill. A local told him that men in Silverdale apparently don’t benefit as much as women—or maybe that they have a harder time getting “access” to the higher scores? Now he’s in a mood and doesn’t want me asking any more questions. Has anyone else heard that? Isn’t GRACE supposed to be for everyone?
I just want that same sense of calm and clarity! Send me all your tips—for Andrew, too! ✨

The market and university district sound worth a visit. The nervous reactions to questions about GRACE would make me slow down, not search harder for a signup link. Calm is not enough information to judge a system.

Andrew’s concern deserves a real conversation rather than being dismissed as a bad mood. If access or outcomes differ by gender, I would want clear answers before recommending GRACE to anyone.
